After a decade serving up sweet ‘n savoury sustenance to hungry Calgarians, OEB Breakfast Co. brings farm freshness, signature bennies and an eggs-ellent cuppa joe to Edmonton’s core.

Calgary-based morning hot spot, OEB Breakfast Co. (fondly known to fans as “OEB”) is set to open their first capital city location Monday, October 29.  Edmontonians are invited to break their fast and fill the soul at the 54-seat eatery starting at 7:00am at 10174 100A Street, street level in the new Kelly Ramsey Tower.

Launched in 2009 as a quaint and charming neighbourhood haunt for residents in Calgary’s central Northeast, founder Mauro Martina’s vision was to cultivate a breakfast culture that values food integrity by investing in a farm-to-table approach that built a very passionate following, quickly. After years of research to perfect the recipe in pleasing breakfast enthusiasts, OEB’s signature look and feel – clean lines, natural light and an open kitchen – was unveiled at a second location in downtown Calgary in 2016 and third location last year in the trendy Mission area. New additions to the concept included the introduction of a champagne & coffee bar, in-house micro green garden and charcuterie room to enhance the family-friendly guest experience. OEB’s Edmonton location boasts a 10-seat high-top communal table for large groups, custom wall panelling and artwork inspired by traditional breakfast motif.

“Edmontonians have played a big part in our success story since we launched the OEB brand.” says Martina, “Many visit our locations in Calgary, so when we began exploring expansion plans – it was a natural fit for us to start where we already had loyal customers who’d be excited to have us serving amazing breakfasts and brunch a bit closer to home.”

Menu offerings are bountiful and imaginative. Find traditional morning go-to’s like omelettes, steak and eggs and Croque Madame alongside iconic signature OEB favourites like confit duck pierogies topped with a fried duck egg, french toast stuffed with NY-style cheesecake and signature breakfast poutines featuring organic and GMO-free ingredients atop seasoned potato wedges, fried in pure duck fat and topped with legendary brown butter hollandaise. Find products from Alberta-based producers and purveyors including Sgambaro’s Signature Seafoods, Bear and The Flower Farm and Lyalta Gardens. Award-winning Seattle-based coffee roaster Caffe Umbria will be brewed daily. Coffee’s on ‘til 3pm daily, to stay in or take-out.
