With open arms and bustling kitchens, in 2023 Edmonton’s Black Community invited adventurous food lovers, enthusiastic home cooks and those with hearty appetites to explore flavours from Jamaica, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nigeria, Trinidad and more during the city’s first ever Feed the Soul Dining Week.
Volunteer-led and driven, the event was executed by a group made up of Edmonton’s Black community, allies and supporters dedicated to promoting events and creating opportunities and inclusive spaces for Black-owned businesses in food, beverage and hospitality to grow.
BONAFIDE supported the team with the planning and execution of a 125-guest media launch, creative direction, media and partner relations facilitating partnerships with Le Creuset Canada, Sea Change Brewing Co. and SABOR Restaurant.
