Each year, we work with the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation to create an auction package on behalf of the Italian Centre Shop Calgary to donate to the Building Hope for Kids Gala. The moment we found out the event’s theme was Mexico we immediately invited Top Chef Canada S4 winner Rene Rodriguez to prepare a feast. Without hesitation, he accepted. Chef Rene enlisted help from Chef Rogelio Herrera from ALLOY and it was a match made in heaven. 20 guests enjoyed an authentic Mexican dinner, raising $8,000 for sick kids.
