We are pleased to support the inaugural Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta’s Light the House Gala on November 8. Hosted and co-chaired by Chris Scheetz of Corus Edmonton – the event will feature six of Edmonton’s favourite chefs preparing a multi-course meal.
In addition to SABOR‘s Chef Lino Oliveira participating as one of the guest chefs, the Italian Centre Shop Edmonton will be contributing to this year’s event with a very special live auction donation:
Dinner for 10 prepared by Top Chef Canada – Season 6 winner Ross Larkin from Raymonds in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Enjoy a multi-course feast among friends at the Italian Centre Shop’s flagship location hosted by Teresa Spinelli and RMH prepared by Top Chef Canada season six winner Ross Larkin. This unforgettable evening will include wine pairings and an all access pass into the kitchen to see one of Canada’s best chefs using products and ingredients straight from the shop’s shelves.
Ross Larkin didn’t always have his heart set on being a chef. He started from humble beginnings as a potato peeler for his family’s fish and chips shop, until he discovered his true passion after spending some time in kitchens and loving the pace of the culinary world. He quickly moved up the ranks and is now Chef de Cuisine at one of Canada’s top restaurants, Raymonds where under the tutelage of one of Canada’s most celebrated Chefs, Jeremy Charles. One of the biggest thrills of his career – cooking for Anthony Bourdain during his visit to Newfoundland on CNN’s Parts Unknown.
