The 11th Annual Western Living Magazine Foodies of the Year finalists have been announced and we’re excited to see Edmonton-based 2018 James Beard Award nominee Kevin Kossowan and executive chef of Calgary’s Foreign Concept, Chef Jinhee Lee on the list!

We have the pleasure of working quite closely with these two powerhouses right now (in fact, we’re packing our sunscreen and heading off to Maui with Kevin to shoot chef collaboration dinner in Ka’anapali)… Kevin’s web series “From The Wild” was acknowledged at the James Beard Media Awards in New York just a few weeks ago and he’s currently filming season 5.

We’re also gearing up for Top Chef Canada semifinals this weekend and kicking Team Jinhee into overdrive. Our #teamjinhee viewing parties at Foreign Concept are in support of Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids and we’re expecting a full house this Sunday at 6:30pm.

This year’s Foodies of The Year listing is jam packed full of talent from Alberta (special shout out to our friends at Bar Von Der Fels) and we’re really thrilled to see who makes the cut on June 19.
